Helen Jenkins. Helen has been writing about alternative investments for the past two years since earning her journalism diploma in 2009 from Cardiff University. Her top tip is to read about the market as much as possible before investing. In her spare time, Helen enjoys picking up antiques at local auctions.

Brian Hughes. Brian is a freelance finance writer and has a passion for tracking down signs of trends in the market. He enjoys drinking wine – New World and Bordeaux – as well as trying out London's pubs in the search of the best Sunday roast.

John Yates. John trained as a journalist at Edinburgh Napier University and has written for many local and national newspapers before dedicating his time to online news. He spends his spare time taking his Basset Hound Freddie on walks and following Gillingham FC's every move.

Paula Henderson. Paula managed a gastro pub before studying for a Masters in journalism at City University, specialising in online news and features. The pub was where she first acquired an interest in the wine industry after gaining her diploma in wine tasting from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust.
