Pol Roger 2008

We are very pleased to offer the latest release of Pol Roger.

The 2008 vintage for Champagne is exceptionally good and has been eagerly awaited. According to Richard Juhlin 2008 is “an absolutely gorgeous vintage that has it all. I have a hard time imagining anything other than buying everything you see of this vintage."

Here's what Jancis Robinson says about the 2008 Pol Roger: "Really quite broad and ripe on the nose with mildly floral notes and a hint of putty. Really very dramatic! Even a hint of marzipan. Creamy texture with a little bruised apple acidity. Admirably long. Really exciting. Is this a worthy successor to the 2002?" 18 points, Jancis Robinson, jancisrobinson.com

And this is the winemaker's note: “Excellent purity and refinement on the nose, very focused. Autolytic complexity, toasted bread and pastry, but also red fruits and a hint of spice. The palate shows excellent depth of fruit but also a very firm, taut acidity to complement the richness. Long and persistent finish, very well integrated dosage and built for the long-haul. More refined than the 2002 (and a very different style) was at this stage of its development. Drink 2018 – 2040.” Pol Roger, winemaker’s note.

We are able to offer you this splendid champagne at what we believe is the cheapest price in the UK:

Pol Roger 2008 at £265 per case of 6x75cl in bond (£55.80 per bottle duty and VAT included).

Please note that charges will apply if you would like the wine delivered. We have limited availability and are offering on a first come first serve basis. E. & O.E.

Enjoy!

Very best wishes,
